Annual Linking Education and Business Breakfast Focuses on Experiential Learning and Work-Based Learning Opportunities
March 30, 2017 - This year's annual breakfast was a great success! On March 30, 2017, nearly 200 local business and community leaders gathered to learn about how early work-based learning opportunities can lead to greater engagement and academic achievement among youth while also helping to ensure a skilled workforce. Many thanks to Linda Noonan of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education for delivering an insightful keynote address, and big congratulations to Professor Mike Barnett for receiving the 2017 Good Neighbor Award.
WPY announced two exciting new initiatives at this year's event - our Summer Internship Pilot Program and the upcoming launch of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Advisory Council.
