Youth Risk Behavior Survey
Measuring risk behaviors and protective factors in Waltham’s youth.
WPY collaborates with Waltham Public Schools and MXM Research to administer the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). The YRBS is conducted every two years nationally by the Centers for Disease Control, state-wide by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Department of Public Health, and locally by WPY. The survey measures the risk behaviors and protective factors that influence Waltham students’ ability to thrive. The data informs WPY’s programs, and findings are used by schools and the community as a whole.
